The lord-graha of the lagna-rashi. THIS is the primary indicator of the native's personality. Where is the lagna-lord placed? Strong (in own/exalted/trine) → strong personality. Weak (in debilitation/enemy-sign/dussthana) → weak personality.
The rashi the moon occupies. Read all 12 houses ALSO from chandra-lagna. The mind + emotions + mother-relationship are clearer from chandra-lagna than from lagna.
Exalted grahas grant maximum results. Debilitated grahas struggle. Per the Vimshottari Dasha. Where does the current Mahadasha-lord sit in the chart? In which house is its Antardasha-lord? Combined = the "active current focus" of life.
Hundreds of named Yogas in classical astrology. Common: Gaja-Kesari Yoga (Jupiter + Moon in kendra to each other — supreme intelligence + fame). Raja Yoga (kendra-lord + trikona-lord conjunct — supreme success). Dhana Yoga (2nd + 11th lords combine — wealth).
